“12 Days of Christmas” Gift #5 TOM FORD BLACK ORCHID Gift Set

December 21, 2014

I have been obsessed with this scent ever since its launch in 2006. The scent was an instant hit and is very popular as a unisex fragrance. This scent is very distinctive and has spicy floral and woodsy notes with vanilla, amber and vetiver. I saw this at Saks Fifth Avenue the other day and retails for $112.00

New Years Eve Makeup Look

December 29, 2013

NewYearsMakeup

The Holiday parties are all over and now its time to get ready for the biggest night of the year, NEW YEARS EVE! For this look I was inspired by Audrey Hepburn in the movie Breakfast At Tiffany’s. To get this gorgeous timeless look, follow the steps below.

MAKEUP: I prepped and primed the skin using Dermalogica Active Moist Moisturizer. I like to use this particular moisturizer cause it is oil free and light weight and doesn’t compromise my makeup and helps it last all day and into the night. With a large flat foundation brush from MAKE UP FOR EVER (35N) I applied MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation in shade 117 starting from the center of the face and blending outward. I then buffed the foundation further with a wet makeup sponge. If you have a Beauty Blender or something like it, that would work great as well. I let the foundation sit on the skin and set on its own before applying any face powder and started on the eye makeup.

EYES: I applied MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot in Soft Ochre all over lid with a large fluffy eye shadow brush and let it set. For the winged eyeliner, I used Clinique Brush On Cream Liner using a fine eyeliner brush. I started with the outside corners of the eye and got my flicks even. I then lined close to the lash line starting from the inner corner of the eye and then connecting to my flicks. I applied two full coats of of L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black to the top lashes and then applied Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in black to the bottom lashes. I filled in any sparse areas and elongated Rebecca’s brow using Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Brunette and then brushed into place with Anastasia Brow Gel in Granite.

LIPS: For the lips, I wanted to have a bright statement lip. I used Urban Decay Supersaturated Lip Pencil in Crush. I lined the lips and filled them in with this highly pigmented glossy lipstick. For added staying power, blot the lips with a tissue and then reapply the lipstick.

CHEEKS: To finish off the look I set the foundation with a translucent face powder from MAKE UP FOR EVER. The powder I used is no longer made, but any translucent powder will do. I then dusted the apple of the cheeks and into the contours with TOM FORD Cheek Color in Frantic Pink.

INNA More Than Friends Music Video Makeup

January 21, 2013

inna

Late last year I had the pleasure of working with a very talented singer from Romania named INNA. We shot a video for her super fun song called More Than Friends! The video was shot on the beaches of Los Angeles and at a beautiful mansion in the hills of Malibu. INNA is naturally beautiful so I chose a fresh clean makeup for the beach scenes. As the party progresses later into the evening I amped up the look with a bright pink gloss and a bronze/gold eye shadow.

To get INNA’s beach ready look I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Flawless Tinted Moisturizer in dark.  I then used the Illumin8 Bronzer in Sun Bronzed to sculpt the cheek. For the lips I applied  a touch of Hydraful Gloss by Anastasia Beverly Hills in shade Sugar Pink. To finish off the look I applied two coats of a lash thickening mascara and then Lash Genius Clear Waterproof Top Coat on top to waterproof the mascara.

To get INNA’s evening look, I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Flawless Tinted Moisturizer in dark, as well as the Illumin8 Bronzer in Sun Bronzed. To amp up the eyes I used Anastasia Beverly HIlls Illumina8 Eye Shadow Duo in At Chateau all over lid and then lined the eyes with ABH Covet Waterproof Eyeliner in Noir for a smokey effect. I then lined the lips with a bright pink lip liner and then applied ABH Hydraful Lipgloss in Sorbet.

Martini & Rossi Advertising

October 23, 2011

I just got some images from an ad I did last year for Martini & Rossi. The images were shot by Giuliano Bekor and were shot at the Universal backlot in the Italian area The forecast for that day was 80% chance of rain and it sprinkled here and there a few times throughout the day but nothing major. When we finally got the final shot at 3pm it started to rain cats and dogs. It ended up raining for 3 days straight after that.

I hope you enjoy the images and celebrate the upcoming holiday season with some Martini.

China Anne McClain Makeup look from Calling All The Monsters Video!

October 11, 2011

My girl, China Anne McClain dropped her NEW music video for her smash hit song “Calling All The Monsters”  a few weeks ago and is #3 on the iTunes video charts! I have been getting a ton of request asking me what I used to create China’s look for the video. This video was one of the best videos I have ever worked on, the energy was amazing and even though it was two 12 hour days, you would have never guessed, cause we had that much fun!

China is naturally beautiful and doesn’t require much makeup. So I wanted to do something playful and young. To get China’s Calling All The Monsters makeup, just follow the few easy steps below!

Step #1: Moisturize skin with Dermalogica Active Moist all over face and let it soak into the skin for a few minutes. Apply a shimmering bronzer to the high planes of the face like the cheek bones, bridge of nose, forehead and chin. I used IMAN Sheer Finish Bronzer in Clay. This bronzer adds a beautiful golden luminous glow to the skin.

Step #2: For the Eye liner, I used this awesome NEW 24/7 waterproof liquid liners from Urban Decay in Woodstock (Bright Pink). I applied this very close to the lash line and lined the top eyelid. Let the liner dry for a few minutes and then apply Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Catfight on top of the pink liquid liner for extra sparkle! I then applied two small ruby red rhinestones to the outer corner of the eyes with some DUO Lash Glue. To finish off the eyes, I applied one coat of Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Lifting Mascara in black to the top lashes.

Step #3: I wanted to give the cheeks a subtle rosy glow and I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlighting Creme Duo in St Tropez and applied the berry pink shade to the apples of the cheeks and blended outwards.

Step #4: Since the focus was on the eyes, I went with a toned down lip. I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Hydrafull Lipgloss in Flamingo which is a rosy pink.

I hope you enjoy this makeup as much as I enjoyed working on this video. Congratulations to China Anne McClain for another hit song!
