Brittany Snow on AMA’s Red Carpet!

November 22, 2010

I glammed up actress Brittany Snow last tonight for the AMA’s and she looked stunning on the red carpet for the Rolling Stones party. To get the look!

Face: I prepped and primed the skin with Dermalogica Active Moist with a few drops of the Skin Hydrating Booster. I then applied Urban Decay Surreal Skin Foundation in Trance with a damp sponge. Since this is a cream to powder foundation, there was no need to set it with powder. I then bronzed the skin with Josie Maran Bronzing powder in Beach No.1 and then applied the NEW Josie Maran Argan Color stick in Petal Pink to the apples of the cheeks and blended.

Eyes: For the eyes, I wanted to go with a shimmery brown neutrals so I used Urban Decay Deluxe Eye Shadow in Underground and applied all over the eye up to the crease and brought it to the lower lash line as well. I lightly sculpted the eye crease with Josie Maran Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Smoke and also defined the lower lash line with the same color. I highlighted the brow bone with JMC Eye Shadow in Beach. I filled in the brows with Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Golden Blonde and then brushed them into place with Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Blonde. I wanted a full lash look so I applied a strip of Demi Wispies lashes from Ardell and brushed them together with Anastasia Lash Lifting Mascara.

Lips: I lined Brittany’s lips with a Jouer Lip Definer in Rose Doux and then topped them off with JMC Plumping Lip Gloss in Daring.

Body: Brittany was wearing a peachy champagne colored dress so I wanted her skin to glow. I achieved this by using a great new product from Vanity Mark Cosmetics. It is a transfer resistant body makeup and adds the perfect amount of color to the skin.

Get the look: PRO Edition!

November 21, 2010

This post is for my makeup artist followers! I did a beauty shoot with Giuliano Bekor a couple of weeks ago and wanted to share one of my favorite looks from the shoot. This is more of an extreme look but I think it is very beautiful.

Face: I first prepped and primed the skin with Dermalogica Active Moist and a few drops of the Skin Hydrating Booster. I applied a thin layer of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in shade 4.o all over face with a foundation brush and set with Make Up For Ever HD Powder.

Eyes: I then airbrushed MAC Pro Performance HD Airbrush Makeup in Pure White around the eyes and into the temples. I let this set up and then I applied the black dots one by one with the end of a small pointed makeup brush dipped in Make Up For Ever Aquarelle in black.

Lips: The lips were lined with the Make Up For Ever Aqua Waterproof Lip Liner in 16c Fuschia and then the Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lip Stick in #9 Pearly Fuschia.

Impression Short Film

November 21, 2010

Since I am a blogging machine today! I thought I would share a short film I did this summer with photographer Deborah Anderson. The star of the film was actor Ben Elliott from the “If I Can Dream” Show. If “If I Can Dream” sounds familiar, I also posted a photoshoot that I did with Giglianne Braga from the same show HERE!

Get the look: Brown Smokey Eyes!

November 21, 2010

Face: I first prepped and primed the skin with Dermalogica Active Moist Moisturizer and added a few drops of the Skin Hydrating Booster. I then applied a thin layer of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in shade 4.0 with a large foundation brush and then blended with a moist sponge and set with Make Up For Ever HD Powder. I highlighted the face with the Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight powder and applied a light dusting of NARS Orgasm Blush to the apples of the cheeks.

Eyes: I applied MAC Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Tempting with a stiff eye shadow brush all over lid up into the crease. I brought the same eye shadow to the lower lid and smoked it out. Next I used a soft brown eye pencil from Kevyn Aucoin and lined all around the eye close to the lash line and smudged with a small smudge brush. I then attached MAC lashes in #33 with Duo Adhesive close to the lash line and let dry before I brushed the lashes with one coat of L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Dark Brown. The brows were groomed using Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Blonde.

Lips: The lips were lined with a light nude pencil and a thin layer of NARS Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girls was applied.

Product of the week: Benefit “Hello Flawless”

November 11, 2010

“Hello Flawless” from Benefit Cosmetics is my newest makeup kit staple. This powder foundation in like nothing I have seen before. This finely milled silky powder glides on the skin and has a build-able coverage. The product is formulated with a SPF15 and comes with a sponge and brush in the bottom of the compact and comes in 9 shades. On an editorial shoot last week, I skipped my usual cream foundation and only used “Hello Flawless” all over the moisturized face. The results were nothing but FLAWLESS!

Another great product which I have posted on before is “Some-Kind-A-Gorgeous” Check it out here!
